Mrs. Josianne Bristol
Masters Degree in Education Leadership and Innovation!
Mrs. Josianne Bristol earned a Masters Degree in Education Leadership and Innovation from the University of Warwick in UK, in 2005. She also gained a Bachelor in Education from the University of Bristol, graduating with First Class Honors, in 1997.
Mrs Bristol has always worked in the education field starting as an English language teacher, then moving on as a Business Communications lecturer with the School of Business and Secretarial Studies, Seychelles Polytechnic. From 2010 to 2012 Mrs Bristol was employed as the IT, English and Communications Lecturer at the Seychelles Institute of Technology where she also undertook duties of Course Leader for the Programme Motor Vehicle Mechanics.
In January 2013 Mrs Bristol moved to her current position as Director. Despite holding the post of Director she also undertakes some teaching where and when required as her love of teaching will not allow her to remove herself from the classroom completely. During her tenure as Director SBSA managed to secure full Validation for all the programmes on offer and recently also secured full Institutional Accreditation from the Seychelles Qualifications Authority.
Mrs. Bristol has great leadership qualities. She is a good listener and is open to criticism. She never puts herself before others and she tries her level best to give all the necessary support to any of her subordinates as well as her students. It has to be noted that Mrs Bristol is a well-respected person who also gets on well with all her staff and students. She is very passionate about the students’ achievements both academically and in none-academic activities. Both staff and students of the academy admire her great personality and she is often referred to as their role model. The Academy is proud to have such a person who is determined to take SBSA to greater heights.
